BRIXTON BROTHERS Book Give-Away

The kind folks at Simon and Schuster have offered three copies of The brixton Brothers: The Case of the Case of Mistaken Identity for me to give to you! This would be a great holiday gift for a favorite youngster!

Because I have trouble being the fourth caller or the tenth person to email, I thought I'd make this easier (for me). Just post a comment to this entry and tell me who your Brixton Brothers reader would be (you don't have to give a name—my sixth-grade nephew is fine) and why s/he would enjoy reading this book. Of course, if the intended reader makes a comment, that's even better.

Be sure I have a way to contact you if you're the winner! If you don't have an email associated with your comment, just email me at mysteryheel [at] mac [dot] com.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, shame on you. I reviewed the book on November 3. Just scroll down, you'll see it.

CONTEST DEADLINE - Sunday, November 22, 12:00 midnight EST

Wonderful review, and yes, this series will definitely get boys hooked on reading. A great idea! I recently did an all day "author appearance" at Dover Air Force Base Middle School. I brought some of my YA's to give away (I now write adult mysteries for Penguin) and the kids were thrilled. But I didn't have much for the boys. I will buy some copies of the Brixton Brothers series if I do any more school visits. Mary Kennedy www.marykennedy.net

My reader would be my 11 1/2 year old grandson who has recently discovered reading. He has read all of the Haunted series and even a Nancy Drew. I'm sure he would love a book with a boy detective.

The first intended reader would be myself - I love the younger reader mysteries. Then I would pass it on to my 13 year old granddaughter. I think that more girls than you might imagine like stories where boys are the detectives.

I've been a mystery lover for many, many years and am delighted to discover your blog! My recipient would be my 11-year-old grandson, Nathan--I would enjoy sharing my love for mysteries with him! Thanks for your reviews; I am always on the lookout for new authors.
