Winners and Another Contest!

Ta da da da ta da! The entries in the drawing for J. T. Ellison's So Close the Hand of Death were drawn from the virtual hat this morning. If you see a reference to your entry, you're a winner! Please email me your snail mail address so I can forward the book. The winners are
Pat R from the Midwest
and
Shirley who wants to read after dark…

I'll give you until Thursday to send your information to me (mysteryheel @ mac.com) before drawing another winner.

New Contest
I was lucky to receive extra copes of Carolyn Hart's Dead by Midnight, a Death on Demand Mystery, and Hallie Ephron's Come and Find Me, a novel of suspense. I haven't had a chance to read either book yet (I'm hosting 9 authors this spring and moderating a panel at Malice Domestic, so my reading's been planned for me!), but I can guarantee both of these will make fine reading. Carolyn's books are excellent examples of the traditional mystery. Hallie's are the kind of suspense that requires to read them in one sitting.

To enter, post a comment below telling why you're ready for which type of crime fiction. I'll announce the winners next Sunday, April 24. Again, watch this blog for winners. (I've got at least one more contest for the future.)

Happy reading—and thanks for entering!

It's Death on Demand for me, Molly. The setting is based on Beaufort, SC, which is where I vacation on the beach every May. Perfect reading for the perfect place.

Hi, Molly! Thanks so much for featuring COME AND FIND ME! Carolyn's book is in my TBR pile! I'm a huge fan of this new series of hers -- reminded me of a modern Topper (am I datng myself?)

People keep telling me they read my book in one sitting... which completely paralyzes me since it took more than a year to write. Meanwhile I'm reading books by my Jungle Red blog sisters, Rosemary Harris (Slugfest: hilarious!) and Julia Spencer-Fleming (One was a Soldier: riveting drama! this series has reached a new level.)

If anyone is in Sacramento this Thursday "Come and Find ME" at the Sac Bee book club at Borders 4/21.

Molly I hope it's turning into sprig down there as it is up here in New England...

Doreen, thanks for posting—and good luck!

Hallie, it's always great to have authors post here. I understand the paralyzation when you hear that we read in one sitting. Just another reason for me to continue helping folks find new authors—we can read the good ones much faster than you can write them!

I'm ready to be glued to my seat for a book read, so Come and Find Me sounds just right.

Thanks for the opportunity to find out about and win books.

Carolyn Hart's Dead by Midnight would be great because I'm in the mood for a light mystery. I just finished a true crime story and I need something different.

I would pick "Come and Find Me" just because I love to read a book that's so intense you can't put it down until your finished....then I'm sad because it's over. Lots of times I'll re-read it! Thanks for opportunity to win one! Lynn lynn@tangledyarn.com

I would pick Come and Find Me although Carolyn Hart's sounds great. Couldn't make a choice so I tossed a coin.

Yes! A Carolyn Hart I haven't read! How exciting!

I'm always ready for a new mystery, especially a Carolyn Hart. I love the read in one setting, but so seldom have time to do that unless I skip a nights sleep - but it would be worth it!

I never win anything so I'll pick both.

I'm going in for extensive dental surgery soon; either one would suck me into the bones of the story in about three minutes flat and take my mind off the fact that I won't be able to eat for a while!

I've been a fan of Carolyn Hart forever, and will read anything she writes, even if it's her grocery list.

Hi - I would like a chance to read Come And Find Me. I read traditional mysteries, but dearly love good suspense.

Both/either of those books sound fascinating. Whether reading traditional mystery or suspense depends on my mood, sometimes one after the other for variety.
