STEALING THE COUNTESS by David Housewright

I thoroughly enjoyed my first by Housewright. It’s an almost British-like PI novel that kept me turning pages but not losing sleep. The “countess” is a $4 million Stradivarius violin which St. Paul unlicensed private detective Rushmore McKenzie is hired to find. The characters are well defined and the story has many twists, turns, and red herrings. Perfect vacation reading!
